Hello!Mother-daughter wedding planners, founders of Gordon Duo Weddings, and the team behind this guide. After more than a decade of planning weddings across the Pacific Northwest, we built Weddings Unlocked for the couples we couldn't always work with one-on-one — sharing the same expertise, frameworks, and templates we use with every full-service client.
OUR STORY
How we got here.
It started with a friend's wedding.
Then their friends asked. Then their friends' friends. Within a few years, we were planning weddings full-time and Gordon Duo Weddings was born.
Over the past decade-plus, we've planned hundreds of weddings across Seattle and the Pacific Northwest — from intimate backyard ceremonies to weekend-long celebrations, traditional venues to destination locations. We've been featured on NewDay NW, named to The Knot Hall of Fame, and recognized as WeddingWire Couples' Choice winners.
Along the way, we've built a deep library of frameworks, timelines, and templates — the same tools we use with every full-service client. Budget breakdowns refined across hundreds of weddings. Day-of timelines that account for the moments most couples forget. Vendor conversations we've had so many times we know the questions before they're asked.
Over the years, we've also heard from couples who weren't looking for a full-service planner — couples planning destination weddings, couples leading their own planning, couples with their own vision and timeline. They all wanted the same thing: the structure of working with a planner, built into a guide they could run themselves.
That's why we made Weddings Unlocked.
